1. The distribution files now include a tn3270 printer fonts file. The fonts in this file must be installed in your system in order for screen dumps to print correctly when the following all apply:
a. The LaserWriter 6.0, 6.0.1 or newer print driver is being used.
b. Background printing is turned on.
c. Color/gray (the default) is selected in the Print dialog.
Under these circumstances, the tn3270 screen fonts will not be available at the time the screen dump is printed unless they have been installed in the System file. This is done using Font/DA Mover (just double-click on the file to launch it) or, starting with System 7, by dragging the font file into the System Folder.
2. The font used by the WMAC PRINT option is 11-point Courier. This should work well for LaserWriters, and any other printers when the Adobe Type Manager is installed, or System 7 is being used. In other cases, it may be necessary to use the Monaco font, or another fixed-width font. The page layout is compatible with 10-point Monaco, as well as 11-point Courier.
3. The format of the output from the WMAC PRINT option, including the font and point-size, is now adjustable by using ResEdit to edit the VMPR 128 resource in tn3270. To facilitate editing this resource, the distribution files now contain a ResEdit template for it in the file "VMPR template". ResEdit should be used to add the resource in this file to ResEdit itself. Then ResEdit may be used to edit the VMPR resource in tn3270. The text in the template explains the use of each field in the resource.
